OUR DECARBONISATION JOURNEY
We take climate change seriously, and recognise the importance of making good calls to positively impact our Planet. We believe the future is bright, and although the challenges and opportunities are complex, we must pave a way forward, take urgent action to reduce our carbon, and support global efforts to combat climate change.
We aspire to become carbon neutral, and are committed to operating in an energy - efficient manner. Through active participation in decarbonisation workshops, we continue to gain further knowledge and ideas to support our strategic direction and drive better outcomes for the environment, our business and our community.
The commitment to measure and manage Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions is a crucial piece of work for us and provides insight and data on our carbon footprint. Aside from operating efficiently, we plan to offset our emissions with a local native tree planting project - watch this space.
We continue to challenge ourselves, share ideas, inspire and encourage others to do the same. We are not alone, not perfect, and have a long way to go, but we've made a line in the sand and set the foundations for "doing more good".

The protection of the Fiordland environment and its inhabitants are fundamental to our business. We respect the ecological uniqueness and fragility of the area, contribute to conservation projects, operate under a no take-out policy with respect to fishing and ultimately practise the ethos of ‘protect and preserve’ to ensure the survival of our remaining wilderness areas.
AND IN TURN, WE ARE ENRICHED BY THEM
Every day, we imbibe the energy and excitement of the rugged landscape of Fiordland, and this just reinforces our passion for the area. We want to give others the opportunity to explore this magical place. A place where time stops; where the astonishing beauty can be marvelled at, and the connections it houses are only ever strengthened.

We are proud to call this unrivalled world class destination home and with that comes a responsibility to operate with environmental integrity. We are committed to the Tiaki Promise - to care for and protect New Zealand's toanga including the land, sea and cultural identity now and for future generations.
Beyond this, we have set a strategic goal of moving towards a regenerative business practice, i.e. "doing more good", rather than "doing less bad". Ultimately what this means is, rather than focusing on reducing our environmental impact we act in a way which enhances not only the natural world, but so too, our community, stakeholders and business success. We have made a start, and know we have a lot to learn.
